Eagles have signed a four year deal with Golesports to be our preferred supplier of strips and merchandise. Over the four years we will be looking at replacing all our strips from Juniors to Seniors.
The new strips incorporate a bit of our original Club logo and our current New Town Eagles logo. The new design has been warmly received by all who have seen them.

Polish Association Hobart    New Junior Sponsor
The Club is pleased to announce that the Polish Association has agreed to become our Junior team sponsor. This sponsorship will enable us to replace our Junior playing strips over the next few years to come in line with the Senior teams. They will also sponsor all our Junior team trophies.

The Polish Association have a number of facilities available to New Town Eagles players and families, including cheap short term local accommodation as well as a holiday retreat at Carlton. These are available at very reasonable rates. Contact the Association on 62283686 to find out more information.

Polish Club, New Town
The Polish Club in New Town has been a great sponsor of the Club since day one and is a great place to have a quiet drink or to catch up with friends. The Club also has function facilities available for weddings, parties, anniversaries or any social event. Function room rental is little as $150 and can cater for up to 120 people. Contact Maria on 62285179 to check for availability or drop in to check out what the Club has to offer.

Eagles v Kingborough Lions

Sat 21/3 - Lightwod park 2.30pm

Eagles take on Kingborough Lions on Saturday in Round 2 of the Premier League season and they will be keen to get their first points for the season against a team which they have struggled against in the past few seasons. Eagles will be buoyed by an excellent second-half display against the Knights and hopefully will take some confidence into the game. The performances of Malakoff, Leszczynski, Collins, Vernon and Kavanagh in particular give Eagles supporters some optimism for the rest of season.

The Lions scored four times against the Zebras in Round 1 suggesting they may be adopting a more attacking approach this season as opposed to their normal dour defensive style and this could cause an Eagle defence which looked hesitant at times against the Knights some trouble.

Eagles have struggled to raise their game against sides of similar ability and they must be switched on from the start if they are to get anything out of this game.

Best of Luck to both teams

Eagles v Metro - Summer Cup Final
Fri 20/3 - KGV - 6.00pm

Eagles Division 2 side take on Metro on Friday night at KGV in the Division 1 Summer Cup Final. Eagles have done well to make the final after overcoming Taroona in a penalty shoot out decided semi-final last weekend despite missing a number of regular players.

Metro will be raging favorites to take out this final as they have recruited well, as they attempt to regain their Premier League status by winning the Division 1 title this season. Their three Scottish imports have settled in well from all accounts and they could prove a handful for the Eagle side.

Eagles however have quality players of their own and will make things tough for their more fancied opposition. They will be in the game for a long time and only fitness may tell in the end.

Best of Luck to both teams
